You Make Heaven a Place on Earth

All this talk about the rapture I guess has us all reflecting on things heavenward. Besides being a gift straight from Heaven's gates, I've gotta say...Zeke is my little angel. So occasionally I have to dress him up like one!

Sugar Storms

This last week featured whirlwinds of sugar and butter and royal icing galore. We all made it through the first big cake since Zeke's arrival. Hooray! Zeke was super on the delivery trip. Don't tell Grammy his feeding was delayed over an hour while the last details got piped. She will without doubt turn me over to DFACS. Afterwards, we strollered around charming Washington GA...very cute!

Don't Tell Mom, The Babysitter's...Alive!

Uncle Daniel survived his first run of solo babysitting free of feeding and dirty diapers, but hey, he survived. To lighten the mood, Daniel thought it would be funny to fire off a little text picturing my beloved child:

"Can Uncle Daniel fend off disaster until Mama Erin gets home? Only time will tell...tick, tock, tick, tock..."

Party Time

While Zeke was passed out most of the time, he attended his first birthday pool party last weekend. No one actually got in the pool...yet. But Gracie celebrated her very first birthday in high style! Number 2 will be tough to top. Happy Birthday Grace!

I hope Zeke has at least half as much fun as Gracie did with her smash cake!

Like a Champ

Can I just say that Zeke let out a few big screams and we both got a little misty-eyed, but Zeke did awesome after his shots! Thanks for all the extra prayers.

Shots Tomorrow

Insert major frowny face here. Zeke is due for his 2 month -- I know I can't believe it either -- check up tomorrow. That means lots of shots which I hear equals a distressed baby and equally distressed mommy. Say some extra prayers for us tomorrow around 11:30 a.m.

Throwback Sunday

No, that doesn't mean that we were so late to church that we squeezed in on the very back row. Again. I mean we were. And we did. But today Zeke was seen sporting his very retro lamb and bunny suit that Brad actually wore home from the hospital. That has to cancel out that big bag of recycling that I threw in the trash, right? This little suit is 30 years of recycling in the making!

Hanging out with Nana for a late Mother's Day celebration

Waiting on Room Service

Fresh from his warm lavender bath, relaxing in his monogrammed plush robe, living the life of luxury. He tips great...in smiles!

In Good Hands

Zeke is growing into his hands, but he still hasn't quite caught Daddy

Played Out

Zeke loves his Under the Sea play mat. The octopus is by far his favorite and watching him play is nothing short of adorableness. Without fail, after thirty minutes or an hour, Zeke passes out in his true to form Aboriginal chant pose. Just cute...that's all.

Happy Mothers Day!

Thank you to the mothers that got us where we are today! Never before has my heart been so full on Mothers Day. I feel so honored and proud to wear the title of mother to Zeke. Sorry for the sappiness, but just feeling exceptionally grateful for my little family!

Zeke at 12 days!

Near, Far, Wherever You Are

That's right, Frauntie Johanna, Zeke loves singing Celine. Or maybe he is just a sweet, happy, super adorable baby that just got a delicious snack.

The Smiles Are Worth It

Words cannot tell how amazing it is to see your own little baby smile at you. Totally worth it!! Melts my heart. Even if there aren't smiles but other surprises...

Maxxinisto

As everyone knows, Brad & I both are slaves to fashion. So as much as it saddens me to start to slowly retire Zeke's newborn clothes, it is becoming a reality as he is maxing out many of his tiniest clothes. We need not run the risk of letting our child sport nothing short of a Brittney Spears midriff bearing style. He's growing up so fast!

First Easter

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Uncle Daniel accused Uncle David of stealing Zeke's cash egg...I'm going with likely story.

Strawberry Fields Forever

Picking strawberries in Baxley was a jolly good time!

Daddy, Uncle Daniel, and Uncle David picked millions of berries that were oh so yummy...Zeke helped too.

Looks like Zeke ate too many...woopsy!

Dipee change in the strawberry fields...check.
